Just How And What Causes Your Weight Gain?

weight.jpgDid you know that over 95% of people have know idea just what causes there weight gain. So if they have no idea how can they conquer or even try to lose weight!

You'll have heard or even spoke to people who are trying to lose weight and all they do is and up putting more on, sounds stupid but it's so true. So let's get straight to the point here it's very simple to understand; Weight loss is determined by your Calorie Equation. So let's run through a quick example here.

If your take and intake of around 2000 calories per day which is about the average intake for a normal person and you burn off 2400 calories your going to lose weight, the reason being because there nothing left over for your fat cells to store anything.
Now if your calorie intake again is around 2000 per day and you only burn off 1500 calories that your body send a signal to your brain saying it needs to store the extra calories away somewhere and normally it will be around your waist or bum.

So just what is your calorie intake? Well it's really simple it's the total calorie content of all your food and drink you consume through out the day. If you're eating healthy foods which you should be if you dieting or if you're a fast food junkie you need to remember a calorie is calorie. Personally I would stay well away from the fast food as this is no good for your health.

Now let's have a look at your calorie expenditure. Most people again think that exercise accounts for most of your calories you are actually burning off, or are trying to burn off, but they are so wrong, exercise alone only accounts for about one third.

If you are trying to diet you need to remember to up your meals per day, but make then all small ones instead of the three big ones you have, this way your metabolic rate is working all the time and burning off your calories. Your metabolic rate accounts for about 55 percent of your calorie expenditure. Did you know that if you eat the correct food you can burn off fat while you're sitting down, very strange but very true?

The next thing you need to remember is you physical activity, this accounts for around 35% of your calorie expenditure. Your last calorie expenditure you need to know about is dietary thermogenesis. What you might ask yourself is that? Well it's the calories you burn off while you're digesting your foods, this accounts for around 10 percent of your total calories you burn off through out the day.
