Fats You Need And Fats You Don't Need

apple.jpgMost people think that fat is there enemy, and they have no idea just how wrong they are. Yes far too much fat is not good for you, but fat is required for the following - you need it for you energy, you need it for nutrition and you need it for a good healthy living.

Like I said before far too much for you is not healthy, so don't go eating candy bars, doughnuts, chocolate bars all day because you still need to maintain your good healthy living. Most people don't know this but a gram of fat has roughly double the calories for protein or carbohydrates. So that's why you need to cut down on your fat intake, it's simple really, to much fat will make you fat, and also increases your risk of diseases like high blood pressure.

Fats you need to be taking are: So you now know fats are one of your sources of energy and that's why we need them. Also fats are or natural insulator which keeps use warm. So the fats we are looking for and which are good to our body are Vitamins A, D, E and K. Other fats we also need are Monounsaturated Fats (Just thinking or cooking oils - olive, canola peanut oils, avocados) these types of fats help you lower you cholesterol. Polyunsaturated Fats are another source of fat our body needs you'll get these from vegetable oils, such as corn, sunflower and cottonseed oils.

Fats you don't need: Saturated fats are deadly, they will increase the risk of cancer as well as heart disease, and you'll find these in red meat, poultry, butter and whole milk. If you would like to keep living for as long as possible than the doctors advise you to take less than 10% of saturated fats of your calories intake per meal, if you can take less it's even better. Another source fat you really need to stay away from is "Partially Hydrogenated" this is added into vegetable oils, So stay ways from the quick fast foods like chips, doughnuts and chicken  nuggets.
